Surprise party
I had quite a busy day today, but not because of my birthday.. I had to undergo some medical exams, do the shopping, take driving classes and it held me outdoors for about the whole day. In the evening Nel and I went to buy bento lunchboxes for this weekend's convention and had some fun in the local comic shop with the nerdy guys who are always there.
I planned to celebrate tonight, just me and my sister. We prepared dinner but my parents showed up and decided to ruin our fun.

I got very down at that point, and left. Later Nel joined me to look for recipes for bentos, but since japanese cooking is quite complicated and we don't have the ingredients, we resolved with cooking something simple and more western to put in it lol

By the way, that's what we had for dinner.

In the late evening I was still very depressed and I didn't feel like doing a thing.. so I went downstairs and found the kitchen's light turned off, but many ornaments hanging on the furniture. Nel made up a surprise party for me by herself..
I was so moved ♥

She made a ice-cream cake for me and sang "Happy Birthday" and had me blow on a candle.

When we removed the candle and the decorations on the cake I drew a duck on it with whipped cream.

It felt so nostalgic.. but I'm happy I was able to spend my birthday with my sister. I could say she's my closest and most liable friend (even if she's still naive sometimes) ♥

She's also the funniest.

So she's the only one I'm really thankful to in my irl days.

Now I'll go to our room because she's waiting for me to have her help me wear nail polish (something I never wear) just to make her happy lol ♥♥

27th of Septemer
...came so early this year! Or maybe it's just this year that has been very bust and stressing that made me so improductive about art.

But now that I have no reason to be worried anymore, I'll just try to be as productive as I can, and be a much better artist!

Here's something I want to work on in the upcoming days~

I spent today tidying up my room, I took all of my school textbooks left to the attic and made space for my sketchbooks and art supplies to come ♥ I can't wait to start school now.
I helped my sister with her homeworks and then we worked on our cosplay, we spent about 6 hours on Max's hat (most of them spent discussing how we had to make it LMAO). She did most of the work because she's a lot more skilled than me (the few parts I made look-- derp lol ;; ) and I'm so thankful ♥ It's finally done!
Some preview is up on my twitpic, but I'm gonna take some good pics tomorrow and post them here.

Oh and here's what I got for my birthday! Winterish Converse sneakers.
I don't have any shoes for winter other than my worn out rain boots, so I needed them anyway lol

They're pretty sporty, but they're cool.

Troll friday part 2
I forgot to write something in the last post so here's part 2! It's about the stuff I got from my friends huhu ~

Max paperchild from Yuu ♥ He stands on his own and isn't he so adorable uhh ( ´∀`)

These are from Mimi ~ she made Austria and Hungary for a con last year. I don't know who made the Green one, but it's really cute.

Glac got this for me as a souvenir in Germany. It's super pretty.. and actually quite small so the amount of details on it is amazing. Since it has a magnet on his back, I put in my (very-crowded) whiteboard. And it works perfectly too.. it was about 12 a.m. when I took this pic.

I cherish them all so much ♥

Oh and some other pages in the guest part of my old moleskine were filled by Milla and Yuu ~

I can't help but smile each time I see them~~

This is, instead, what I made respectively for Mimi's and Glac's birthdays. I rushed them so I'm sorry I couldn't do better OTL

baan2.jpg kaito2.jpg

I think this is all! I'm happy I'm going to meet Mimi, Glac, Psamathes and other friends again in next week's con ♥

Troll friday
Sorry reporting about this just now because I had a troublesome week! On Friday the 10th of this month, I went to Rome to meet Milla, Yuu, Psamathes (it was my first time meeting them irl!), Glacmer and Mimi. We spend the day around the city, went to a video arcade and played Dance Dance Revolution (it was my first time trying it and.. I fail at it in a epic way), ate at a Chinese-Japanese restaurant and then hanged out in a Termini cafè. I had to leave earlier because there was only one train home for me.. sigh

Our time together was full of epicness, but the most entertaining thing we did was trolling those big panels in Termini's station. They're the kind where you can freely write and where tourists often leave messages.
We drew stupid stuff all over it LMAO
This is just what Mimi took pictures of:

This was a message to a friend of ours I wrote but I'm not the one responsible for the chibies lol

Glac doodled this 5-meters Gilbert. Actually Yuu drew a really cool manry naked one abut apparently my friend didn't take a picture of it..

Oh and when we were at the cafè we doodle stuff on each other sketchbooks, but my sketchbook got mostly trolled by them

Sorry for the poor quality pict OTL

Oh and I also switched DA account. You can find me on Duckieroll from now on ~

Ajisai project
Today I started thinking seriously about going back to work on this project of mine, and thanks to a friend who gave me tips for building a plot, I made up my mind about some things.

I want to still keep everything a secret until I come up with a decent storyline (at the moment my situation is disastrous). I created the main characters back in April, but redrawing them now makes them look completely different. I guess my style has developed.. but I'm currently undergoing a crisis (for short: I can't draw).

However, I can't call it a preview, but here's still a doodle of one of the characters.

He looks way older than when I drew him the first time lol. I wonder if someone can actually recognize him.
And that is all for this update. I might update soon with more info, or sketches (maybe).

Note to self
To-do-list for September:

★ Create new artworks for my portfolio
★ Complete the website
★ Max cosplay~
★ Start taking commission because of absurd expenses I'm going to face from now on OTL
★ Start working on Ajisai project (this one's a secret hurr)

I might add something! I wish i can at least complete some of these.. apart from the project I worked on while having exams, I did nothing good this year.

I haven't posted on DA even once until now either. Not really new but yeah~

Preview takes you to this artwork on DeviantArt.

I11 dump
I've been flipping through my sketchbooks lately, I kind of forgot what I drew on them. I haven't touched them for a very long time (since I started studying for exams in June OTL). That goes for my pocket moleskine too..
I haven't really drawn anything at all since then.. Anything that's actually worth something.
That's very depressing OTL

I realized I doodled quite a lot Inazuma in March and April.. and haven't scanned it before.

I think I draw more I11 than what I'd like to admit. Also, 75% of it it's Max LOL
Actually this is not everything I drew of it.

And have another Max.

Back and Paris
Hey~ I've been back for a while but I was lazy enough to be unable to post anything. I've really been lazying around since when I got back from Paris.

★ I spent two full weeks in my aunt's place mostly doing nothing, going shopping, stealing boutiques catalogs and taking pictures of the neighborhood's cats. For the exception of two days, that I spent in Monaco and in Milan.

★ Right when I got back I rushed to Rome to take the interview and to register for the comic school I'm going to start attending in October (it's like a dream coming true.. but my parents are still not that happy and I am surely going to have some troubles in the future..)

★ After that, I went back to do nothing. It's actually because my plans for taking a table in next con went to smoke (the con canceled the space it usually gave to artists), so I don't have to work on gadgets anymore.

★ I got a poupèegirl account! So you can lurk my irl closet. If you have a poupèe and feel like adding me just go to my home.

As for Paris! I won't write a full report because it would be long like crazy. I went there with my aunt and, in a week, we menaged to visit more places that what was humanly possible (in fact each evening our feet and backs hurt like bitches).
Anyway, there are the most noticeable things we saw!

The Citroën exposition palace in the Champs-Élysées: it was gorgeous beyond imagination! I was stunned when I entered it and looked above me. Each round platform is rotating and has a car on it. Whoever designed this is a true genius: every corner of that place is full of interesting pictures, even the stairs and the walls, the last floor is a Sky Garden, where you can relax and have a snack, not to mention the whole palace architecture, outward appearance included.

This was one of the entertaining things in it, a blackboard where anyone can write (lol notice the pikachu).

Facepalm. Got in the Tuileries gardens (which are huge like everything else in this city). I thought it was epic.

Cheesecake! There was an all-cheesecake cafè around Blanche. The sweets they made looked delicious~

Obligatory Tour Eiffel picture. Seeing sun set over the tower was breathtaking. Look at the light coming down from those clouds. This picture was taken by the Montparnasse Tower, a panoramic high palace close to Tour Eiffel.

On Friday I got to meet Kiwishu! We visited the Louvre together, had a little time to sketch in its beautiful huge Cour rooms, and then went to look for the Japanese library Junku.

The inside of this library could give multiple orgasms to any lover of Japanese culture, it has two floors of godly books, manga, artbooks, items, anythingyoucouldwant.
Fact is that, while Kiwi was looking at the artbooks, I started looking around into the BL section, mostly to laugh at the bishie covers. I really wasn't expecting to accidentally find the sequel to my favourite manga (and truly, my very favourite one). I think I panicked a little for the surprise and because I was too embarassed to ask the price (so much that I had Kiwi do it for me OTL).
In the end I bought it- you can't imagine how happy and giggling I was after.

koi ja naikedo

Eheh here is the infamous manga in all its gorgeousness. I'd recommend it if you like BL, I totally fell in love with it. But since the first volume, Kirai Ja Nai Kedo, is the spin-off for Warui Koto Shitai, you should start from that one (which you can easily find on Mangafox).

Jim Morrison's grave in the Père Lachaise Cemetery. The cimitery was very close to the place we were staying at, so we walked to it on Sunday morning, right before leaving. I saw the graves of other important people too, like Chopen, Wilde, Delacroix, Proust etc., but looking for them was very hard, even with a map. The cemetery was kind of like a maze ;;

★ I need to say that even if I had previously visited Paris when I was little, it's been like vising it for the first time. The huge spaces and countless beautiful places of this city really caught my heart, and now I understand why so many people call it the capital of Europe.
To end it, here is a picture of me and my aunt in the National Museum of Natural History gardens, saying Bounjour to you all.
